Jeremy Pennington

Jeremy Pennington is the owner and founder of Pennington & Associates.

Mr. Pennington at age nineteen joined the U.S. Marines as an active duty Military Policeman (MP). After finishing recruit training at Parris Island, SC, Mr. Pennington attended the U.S. Army's Military Police training center at Fort McClellan, AL. In April of 1999, Mr. Pennington reported into the Beaufort, SC, U.S. Marines Provost Marshal's Office (PMO) for duty in the Fleet Marine Force. During this duty assignment, Mr. Pennington was deployed in response to peacekeeping actions in Kosovo (Serbia), Air and Ground campaign. After returning, Mr. Pennington worked in assignments ranging from a basic Road MP to working as a Desk Sargent. Mr. Pennington was selected and trained as a tactical operator assigned to the Beaufort PMO Special Reaction Team (SRT). The team is responsible for high risk law enforcement operations ranging from surveillance to hostage rescue. In this role, Mr. Pennington participated in operations involving high-risk take-downs of violent offenders, pre-planning for possible terrorist acts against U.S. military installations, surveillance, and counter-surveillance.

After discharge from the U.S. Marines in 2003, Mr. Pennington gained employment as a Federal Officer with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Police Service. Mr. Pennington attended the VA Law Enforcement Training Center in 2003, and then worked in the Martinsburg, WV, field office. In late 2006, Mr. Pennington transferred to the Huntington, WV, field office. As a Federal Officer, Mr. Pennington has been involved in criminal investigations ranging from simple possession to fraud against the U.S. Government.

During Mr. Pennington's tenure as a Federal Officer, he joined the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE). He worked as a steward defending federal officers in administrative actions, protected bargaining-unit rights, and negotiated working conditions.

While working full time as a Federal Officer, Mr. Pennington earned a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Grantham University. A Master of Arts in Intelligence Studies with a concentration in Analysis from American Public University. Mr. Pennington terminated his graduate training by completing research on the phenomena of Lone Wolf Terrorism, titled: Analytical Method for The Identification of Lone Wolf Terrorist. During this research, he developed a structured analysis methodology for the identification and mitigation of emerging Lone Wolf Terrorist, by law enforcement officers. Mr. Pennington's current research involves investigative and analytical methodologies specific to criminal defense, and threat analysis. Mr. Pennington is a Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Grantham University.
